Capitol Hill

This week I have the privilege of attending the League of American Bicyclists National Bike Summit.  The Bike Summit opening dinner on Tuesday featured LAB president Andy Clarke and an entertaining and inspirational speech by Mayor of Oklahoma City, OK, Mick Cornett.

 

The lobby day is scheduled for Thursday with a team of eight from Florida making the rounds to meet staff from both Florida Senators and 20 of the 27 Florida House Representatives.

A full report will be forth-coming, but for now, being in the midst of all the excitement and energy, I’m going to keep it short and sweet.  Although I do wish to end this blog with a shout-out to my niece in Colorado, who sent her Aunt Beckers a special travel companion:

 

That’s right!  Flat Stanley is in the house, at the summit and by Thursday, on the hill!
